Algeria has taken many measures and reforms to advance the economic sectors, especially the agricultural sector, It also signed an association agreement with the European Union to benefit from the advantages and facilities provided by it, as it is one of the largest economic countries. This study aims to highlight the most important challenges facing the Algerian food, specifically wheat, in light of this agreement, especially that this partnership has sparked widespread controversy in the field of the agricultural sector, This is what makes Algeria dependent on the European market, especially in the wheat product. This paper also shows Algeria's strategy to solve the problem of lack of self-sufficiency in wheat, especially with the increase in the population and the decline in production
