GEOPOLITICAL PROBLEMS AFFECTING PLANNING FOR THE PALESTINIAN CITY (TULKARM CITY AS A MODEL)

Planning is the main entry point for the sustainable development and development that all peoples of this planet aspire to achieve, Planning has become a way of life in the home, institution, city, region and state. As for planning the Palestinian city, it faces great difficulties and challenges on the ground due to the political conditions that Palestine has lived through since the British rule until the present day. In light of this, we see that Palestinian cities have been affected by the complex geopolitical situations imposed by the procedures and policies of the Israeli occupation at various levels, this matter requires a comprehensive review of their planning conditions on the one hand and the future of their development and meeting the needs of their inhabitants on the other hand. Hence, this study comes to clarify the geopolitical problems that affect the planning of the Palestinian city, as a starting point for understanding and studying what can be done in the areas of sustainable planning and development as a basic requirement for the advancement, prosperity and development of Palestinian cities to provide security, stability, comfort and development for their residents.
