This research was conducted during the academic year 2020-2021, emotional intelligence and its relationship to ways of thinking in the light of the theory of ways of thinking in the light of Sternberg's theory, and to find out whether there are statistically significant differences on both the emotional intelligence scale and the Sternberg's thinking styles scale according to the variable of gender and specialization. The research problem was identified in three questions: Is there a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and ways of thinking in its five dimensions, according to Sternberg's theory? Are there statistically significant differences on the Sternberg Thinking Styles scale according to the variables of gender and specialization? Are there statistically significant differences on the emotional intelligence scale according to the variables of gender and specialization? The theoretical importance of research was represented in its handling of new concepts in the field of scientific research. They are Sternberg's Emotional Intelligence and Thinking Styles. Emotional intelligence is one of the modern concepts in the field of psychological sciences, and thinking methods are among the most important topics covered by cognitive psychology, which is considered relatively recent. While its practical importance was to benefit from it in planning and implementing the learning and teaching processes in terms of using methods and activities that enhance the thinking methods of university students and develop their behavioral, emotional and social aspects, and using its results to develop training programs to improve the thinking methods of university students, and others to develop intelligence They have to make the most of their energies. This study was applied to a sample of El-Mergib University students; It consisted of (88) male and female students from various faculties of the university. The emotional intelligence scale prepared and Arabized by Hassan Al-Maleh and Sternberg’s list of thinking methods used the mini version of the Arabization of Mr. Abu Hashem as a tool for collecting data for this research, and it was applied electronically by publishing it on university students’ pages on social networking sites, then these data were subjected to analysis by a program spss The research found a set of results, the most important of which are: There is a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and Sternberg's thinking styles, and there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of gender and specialization on both the emotional intelligence scale and the list of thinking styles.
