PSYCHOLOGICAL AND BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS FOR PEOPLE WITH MILD ‎INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF RESOURCE ‎TEACHERS IN RAMALLAH GOVERNORATE‎

The study aimed to identify the psychological and behavioral problems of people with mild intellectual disabilities from the point of view of resource teachers in Ramallah governorate. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach, as it compares, interprets and evaluates, in the hope of reaching meaningful generalizations that increase the balance of knowledge on the subject. The study population consists of all resource teachers in Ramallah governorate, and the study relied on the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. A simple random sample of (35) questionnaires was selected and (35) questionnaires were retrieved with a recovery rate of (100%). * The study reached a set of results, the most important of which is that the opinions of the study sample members about psychological and behavioral problems among people with mild intellectual disabilities in Ramallah governorate schools from the point of view of resource room teachers at a rate of (80.0%). - There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average responses of the examinees about psychological and behavioral problems among people with mild intellectual disabilities in Ramallah governorate schools from the point of view of resource room teachers due to the gender variable. - There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) about psychological and behavioral problems among people with mild intellectual disabilities in Ramallah governorate schools from the point of view of resource room teachers due to the variable years of service. - There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the opinions of the study sample members about psychological and behavioral problems among people with mild intellectual disabilities in Ramallah governorate schools from the point of view of resource room teachers due to the educational qualification variable. * The two researchers made several recommendations, including: the necessity of dealing with children by taking into account the psychological characteristics using special techniques such as merging and others. - The need to train parents and teachers on how to deal with people with intellectual disabilities through holding special courses.
