SUFISM AND ETHICS IN ISLAMIC CULTURE

This study attempts to explain the concept of Sufism and its Islamic ‎sources, and I chose for it the title: (Sufism and Ethics in Islamic ‎Culture), as it began by defining Sufism, and how it originated from ‎its early beginnings before mixing and contact with other cultures and ‎to clarify its sources, the stages it passed through, and the criticism ‎we live today. For this concept and its denial, it is necessary to go to ‎research, study and analysis of the concept of Sufism in terms of ‎definition, origin, development and its sources, and what has been ‎reached is that Sufism cannot be understood unless it is placed in its ‎historical context, because ideas do not arise or spread out of a ‎vacuum‏;‏‎ Therefore, it seemed to us, through perusal and research, that ‎Sufism was established in the embrace of the Islamic environment, ‎and then it has methods and schools that have their own ‎characteristics and advantages. One of the requirements of this study ‎is the use of a method that is an objective tool to reach the truth, and ‎for this the historical and analytical methods were used, as well as the ‎descriptive method‎.

Keywords: Sufi, Nishapur, Hermits, Orientalists, Al-Tusi.
