THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES ON SOCIALIZATION

The aim of the research is to identify the impact of social networking sites on the process of socialization, and the researchers followed the inductive approach, in order to present the theoretical frameworks dealing with social networking sites in terms of its concept, the most important sites used, its negative and positive, as well as the theoretical frameworks related to socialization, its concept, objectives, importance and institutions. Content analysis to present previous studies that dealt with the impact of social communication on socialization and social behavior and to analyze their results and recommendations. The researchers concluded that the process of socialization does not stop at the category of children and adolescents, but rather continues during the stages of life, and needs to be evaluated at each stage, and that most of the users of the sites are formed to build new beliefs, and imported ideas, especially among children, adolescents and youth, and this may oppose or contradict The family’s beliefs and social ideas, and the process of upbringing was of a closed pattern before the existence of social networking sites and became of an open pattern that led to the decline of the roles of socialization institutions. The process of upbringing and limiting its negative aspects, as well as the need for the state to pay attention to the new generation and intensify joint efforts, whether from schools, clubs, or the media, as well as social networking sites in order to address the promising generation, raise awareness and send messages of integration and belonging to it.‎
