THE REALITY OF APPLING STRATEGIC EDUCATIONAL PLANNING IN JERUSALEM SCHOOLS FROM THE PRINCIPALS' POINTS OF VIEW
This study aims to find out the reality of applying strategic educational in Jerusalem Schools from the principals' points of view, as well as the availability of strategic plans. The study population is (136) schools. A study sample of (74%) was chosen from study population in stratified random sampling for (100) school principles. The Researcher applied the analytical descriptive approach to answer study questions including (questionnaire, interview and content analysis). The questionnaire consists of two variables (availability of strategic plan, the existing of the planning team) and also (79) sections. While the opening interviews consists of three interviews with the schools principals' . and content analysis consists of analyzing three strategic plans regardless of educational institution. The study concluded that these schools face many political, economical, and social challenges, which cause the existing of different supervising references, and the absence of the references of supervisors on these private schools in Jerusalem. the availability of strategic plans in Jerusalem schools was 75%. The Researcher recommended the following: the Palestinian Ministry of Education should seek to support, guide and supervise private schools to consolidate their policies and strategies, and seize all opportunities to raise education issues in Jerusalem on all local and international levels as they face renewable challenges due to multiple educational authorities, and extend the circle of active participation in planning to include planning experts and the local community
