Over time, there have been innovations and creations that have contributed to changing human civilization and developing its path for the better, and the technological invasion has continued at all levels, including: the field of media and communication, which dominated the world and became one of the main drivers of societies, especially after the emergence of what is known as the new media in various Its networks and websites, which have played a major role in social upbringing, affect and direct unless a person is aware of the dangers of these websites, especially on the youth category, given that they are in a sensitive stage, which was proven by social studies where they warned of the dangers of these means, which have become It is accessible to students, particularly high school students, who use these sites for the purpose of study and scientific benefit from research and others. However, this benefit quickly turns into addiction to these communication devices and their exploitation on the negative side. Hence, the Ministry of Education must develop purposeful educational curricula that work. On directing and educating students on the optimal use of media and making values the main influence that instills awareness, modifies and improves students´ behavior while using media and communication, From the above, this field study aims to reveal the risks of automatic use of information and communication technology by students, as well as to know whether there are educational curricula aimed at enabling students to understand and acquire skills in the use of media and communication, which is a descriptive and analytical study in which we relied on the questionnaire that was Distributing it to a random stratified sample of secondary students, with the aim of answering the following main question: Does information and communication technology pose a threat to Algerian schools in the absence of guidance and media education?
