PSYCHOSOMATICS IN EXPLAINING THE OCCURRENCE OF DISEASES
This research paper aims to highlight the importance of the relationship between the psychological and physical dimensions of the individual, and this relationship is considered the basis for the birth of a new thought known as the psychosomatic field, which looks at the individual in a comprehensive and holistic way. Therefore, it can be said that psychosomatics is an approach to understanding, interpreting, and treating physical diseases based on the psychological impact on the body. The history of psychosomatics has witnessed the emergence of several theoretical approaches or models explaining the occurrence of diseases and several readings of them, and we will try in this research paper to refer briefly, to some classic and modern models in explaining the occurrence of diseases.
