CONSTRUCTION A SCALE OF SOCIAL ANXIETY ON A SUDANESE SAMPLE

The research aimed to construct a scale of social anxiety compatible with the Sudanese people, and to ascertain its psychometric properties (the validity and stability of the scale), the scale was prepared by the researcher, and it was conducted on a sample of (40) Sudanese student, the statistical analysis was done by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program (spss), using the Pearson correlation coefficient to find the internal consistency value of the scale, Cronbach’s alpha stability coefficient, and the scale stability coefficient by splitting halfway using the Spearman-Brown correlation coefficient, in addition to the scale’s self- validity. The Cronbach value after deleting the weakly correlated items (0.761), the half-segment reliability value (0.637), the self-validity value (0.798), which indicates that the scale has a high degree of reliability and validity, which confirms that the scale is suitable for use on the Sudanese environment in the field of diagnosis Social anxiety, and in research and studies dealing with the social anxiety variable among the youth Sudanese sample.
