MIXED METHODS RESEARCH APPROACHES AS A MECHANISM FOR BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES

The current study aims at sporting the light on the mixed research theories in the scientific research concerning the field of social science by considering it as a tool to reduce the gap between the qualitative and the quantitative research methods.Thus, by giving a definition to each and its tools. In addition to getting acquainted with the mixed research theories by addressing as a modal (one case mixed research methods, Convergent designs, explanatory sequence designs, exploratory sequential designs, and embedded designs), therefore, explaining some tools which make it a good one to reduce the gap between the qualitative and the quantitative research methods in the social scientific research.
